Our Wedding

We both met at Winthrop University! We were both volunteering&nbsp;for Class of 2022 Freshman Move-in! He was volunteering&nbsp;because he was an RA, and I was volunteering&nbsp;through Greek Life; I'm an ADPi! He was directing traffic, and he feels that he was doing a great job at it. However, one of us (guess who!) didn't think he was doing such a great job, so she went over to give some helpful "pointers"! Several weeks later, we were both at an information session for a student organization that we were both interested in, and we discovered we were both going to be at a mutual&nbsp;friend's house later that night. We exchanged phone numbers that night and had our first date a few days later at Wing Bones in Downtown Rock Hill!! Soon after, we made things official! When Darien decided to pursue his doctorate at the University of Delaware after graduating from Winthrop, I stayed in South&nbsp;Carolina,&nbsp;and we began our journey as a long distance couple! We did five years of long distance before Darien graduated, and now we are living in Florida together!

While we love children, we’ve decided to keep our wedding an adults-only event. We appreciate your understanding.

what is the dress code?

In keeping with the elegance of the day, our immediate family and wedding party will be in Black-Tie attire. We invite our guests to dress in black tie optional attire to join us in celebrating this special occasion in style!

will i have a plus one?

We’ll be indicating if a guest has a plus one on the save the date or invitation. As most of our guests are already happily married or in committed relationships, the majority of invitations will be for individuals only. We look forward to celebrating with you and your loved ones!

Transportation

There will be two buses available to transport all guests to and from the wedding! The vehicles will be waiting to board guests at 3:00 PM for delivery to White Oaks! These vehicles will also be on site throughout the evening to take guests back to the hotel at any time, and will transport you back to your hotel when the party is over!
